An adventure is simply an inconvenience rightly considered.

Big things on the Horizon

This week has been very busy and very boring. Living for the evening/weekend is not a way to live.
anyways, i also had fun this week. Going out with Rachel for a few Beers, hanging out with Erin, running, Shakespear in the Park.
This weekend is going to incredably insane. I'm going to Capital Ex in an hour or so, then sat, Jill and Jarret and I are going to Jasper for the day. Sunday i have to prepare for an internship interview. this is so exciting because if i get the job i'd be going to live in India for 6 months. awesome huh? sunday will be prep for that.
then back to work for another week on monday. i also have to find time to move back home in the meantime.
Edmonton is super hot right now, 30+ degrees all week.
later.

I saw this on Jill's Blog and thought it'd be fun to see what my name was in this online dictionary:

Rob --

[adjective]:

Extremely flatulent

'How will you be defined in the dictionary?' at QuizGalaxy.com

Well i guess you could say this is kind of true, considering the soundeffects that i kept making when we were filming natural born sock puppets.

I'm in the back ground, Mack is in the midde and Will is in the foreground.
That half of a woman to the right, in the beige, is my mom.

A Deadline

So continuing on with my brief updates, mainly because i really don't want to be sitting here at my computer for a few house, i am going to give everyone the cliff's notes version of the events of the past week proceeding the wedding...

Monday was recovery day, all the partying was done and all wedding obligations were over with. The happy couple was on their way to Jasper for their special evening...they only spent one night, but are planning for a longer honneymoon to Thailand sometime in december. My cousins, who were staying with me during the wedding weekend moved back to their grandparents house who live in the residentail area over by the Glenrose Hospital. That evening i went over to Erin's Dad's place for a BBQ (more Hamburgers, which weren't cooked all the way through!).

Tuesday, was nerd-a-palooza with my cousin Marcus, we went to MP for a workout and a hot tub then back to my place for some x-men legends video-gaming fun, but that was cut short as my sister was back in town and we were invited to go tot he parent's place for more hamburger's (Three straight days of hamburgers, my arteries are now officially clogged!)

Wednesday I returned home and just hung out, did some cleaning and got my room all sorted out. That evening I went out with the Rutherfords to see Superman Returns in IMAX 3D. The movie was great, but I grew up on Clark Kent types like those from Lois and Clark and Smallville, so this old Christopher Reeves' geeky and meek Clark Kent just isn't as exciting.

Thursday was a day for Job hunting. I finally sat down to it, i found a few positions that i am really interested in (though they are internsips, but they send you to 3rd world countries like Africa or South America so i was interested). Also, my roommate Chris informed me the he and Ariel (his "partner" and our other roommate) are moving out and so is out third roommate Danielle, so we're leaving this house as of July 31st. So now, not only do i have to find myself a job but another place to live. well i always thrived with a deadline haning over my head, maybe now this will get my ass in gear!

Friday i got sick, i think it was the flu but it also could have been food poisoning, i had some dogy chicken the night before.

Saturday, i lay in bed, felt better by noon, laid on the couch all afternoon watching x-men eveolution and then went to the fireworks at the Legislature grounds at 11, with my cousin's the Rutherfords.

Sunday was returning to work and another family BBQ, complete with prayer circle. ;) I was also offered a part time position at the hospital working every weeked 12pm to 8pm. i'm not too sure if i'm going to take it, i really don't want to because the hours suck ass, but it is guarunteed money and i can quit as soon as i find work elsewhere. What i am afraid of is that i am prone to complacency, i have passed up many a good opportunity becuase of it. i fear that if i take this job i will become complacent and end up a lifer at the hospital, going on and on about how to move a desk, bring it up 5 time in the span of 10 minutes. No word of a lie, there are people that i work with who do this.

anyways, thats my week, and my big news.
so much for a brief update eh?
also, a few wedding photos follow this entry.

PS. Happy 139 Canada, you're a Peach!
