Why Can't I Ever Write A Short Entry?

HuGSS is a huge success! HuGSS; the Human Geography Student Society, has finally become a student group! Last month or the beginning of September, Sirina one of my friends from EAS 394 recruited me to help create this student groupd for oour fellow Human Geographers. I was totally for it, considering that we Geographers are a minority in the EAS department. Apparently there are, currently, only 30 majors in the subject! Now HuGSS will be the vehicle for which to network and make friends with others who like/love geography. I was nominated/volunteered for the postion of Recruiter/Fundraiser. My jos is to take the lead in any activites that the group is involved in. Basically, it's my job to get the ball rolling on all the activites we are planning to do,and to ensurethat they become reality, not just ideas on paper.

Thanksgiving was a couple weeks ago. My family, My Aunt Joan and Uncle Deithart's family and my Gran were all in attendance. Normally my family does Thanksgiving with my mother's side of the family, but this year, considering that it is my Gran's 90th birthday, we celebrated with Her and my Dad's sister. My cousin Veronica came up from Victoria for the weekend and stayed at our house. She's a lot of fun and it was nice to spend some time with her. Aswell, my cousin Gottfreid and his family came all the way out from Toronto to spend Thanksgiving with us, though we didn't get to spend a lot of time with him, because he has two young sons who are 1 and 3 so they were keeping Mom and Dad (Gottfreid and Natilie) busy.
Also my friends Shomei (from Japan) and Niyeti (from Washington D.C.) joined us for dinner. Neither of them has had a traditional Canadian Thanksgiving before, so i invited them out to share with our family. (although Niyeti has had American thanksgiving, she's never had the far superior Canadian Thanksgiving). Shomei was blown away with how much food was served. He and Niyeti were both sent home with huge plates of leftovers.

I got my paper back from my EAS 394 class. I'm so pissed off at how shitty i did on it. I could have done so much better. its not like i've never done an article critique before. In Lancaster, i had to do an article critique each week for my Geographies of Health class. What my problem was, i left it to the last minute and on top of that i just gave up at 2ami just quit and decided to hand it in as is. I should have stayed up later and put the effort into it that i needed to. But to be fair, i was super pissed all that day because of having to go to the hospital to get my Mom's hand put in a cast because broke it on a fucking Dog's head! sorry, i'm still a bit peeved when i think about it. I had taken the day off school to get the paper done. I was working dilligently on it and then that happened. I ended up losing 4 solid working hours and handing in a crap paper. I don't entirely blame my mother, i did leave this thing to the last minute, if i hadn't done so, i'd have gotten a way better mark.

okay enough ranting. Bedtime.
